- Then in another vessel add ghee or oil and let it heat to this add cumin seeds. When the cumin seeds splutter add the garlic pieces and lightly brown them. Then add the cut onions and saute for a minute or so. Then add the cut tomato pieces.and stir this mix again
- To this add the coriander powder, a pinch of turmeric powder and salt and stir then add the cooked dal to this mix.and mix it all nicely.
- To this add water and let all this mix cook nicely. Squeeze the juice of 1 lemon in the dal. Serve with a dollop of ghee.
