- 1 tsp red chilli powder

- 1/2 tsp cumins seeds
- 1/4 tsp Hing
- 1 tbsp Ghee/oil
- 1 tbsp Coriander chopped
Steps to make to make Dal Fry
- Mix both the dal in a cooker & wash them 2-3times. Add 3 cups water & soak for 10mins.
- Add chopped tomato, chilli, salt & haldi to it. Pressure cook for 3-4 whistles on low to medium flame.
- Once the pressure releases… open the lid & whisk the cooked dal properly.
- In a kadhai add ghee, cumin seeds& hing.
- Then add ginger, garlic & onion to it.Sauté it for 2-3mins.
- Then add tomatoes & all the spices.Cook well.
- Add coriander & cooked dal to the kadhai.
- Let it cook for 5mins on low flame.
- Garnish with coriander. Serve hot with chapati or you can have it as Soup if you are following any weight loss programme.
