  1. Firstly rinse &wash both rice and dal together nicely, soak for 15 minutes, place a pressure cooker on medium flame add 2tb ghee, add drained dal and rice saute it for 2minutes add turmeric powder and 3cups of water, close the lid get 5whistles, let it cool down

Keep a pan on low flame add 1tbsp ghee.. add cumin seeds,let it splutter, add cashew nuts saute for a minute, add chopped onions and curry leaves saute it add chopped tomato stir it now add turmeric powder, chilli powder, garam masala powder.. add a cup of water then add cooked rice and dal.. mix well close the lid, cook it for another 5minutes, garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot.
